A luxury residential development in Kings Cross, London. We provided interior design and specification to 74 private apartments, penthouses, communal and amenity spaces.
Grand Central Apartments, designed by Honky, seamlessly merges urban living with artistic design, reflecting the local planning committee’s call for distinctive, handcrafted elements and the preference for warm timber tones over conventional architectural norms. The outcome was a juxtaposition of a variety of textures and hues.
The reception lobby boasts vibrant terrazzo, and slate grey tiled walls reminiscent of the nearby underground station design, and oak timber clad walls mirroring the park outside. Each piece of furniture was carefully chosen to complement the building’s architectural excellence, incorporating industrial nods and elegant touches of colour.
Inside the apartments, herringbone oak flooring, deep navy kitchens, and terrazzo splashbacks extend the vibrant palette introduced in the lobby, while bathrooms exude opulence with brass fittings. Honky’s design offers a sophisticated living experience, intertwining art and architecture in King’s Cross, London.
